Homework for the weekend is as follows:

Math: Complete the given math worksheet.

Language: 1. LWE – Week 15 – Day 2 including oral task.

2. Coloring to be done on page no. 36 of reader.

3. Students have to read all the 6 chapters of Jungle Book from the reader and retell the same in class on Tuesday.

Hibernation and Migration.

Phonological Awareness :

Various phonological awareness activities were done.

MATH:

• Writing of numbers forward and backward from 51-99 (1 time) in Math notebook.
• Introduction of the 3D shape CYLINDER.
• Revision of all mathematical concepts done till date through centers.(Quantification, Before/After numbers, middle numbers, ascending order, skip counting by 2 and 5,patterns (4 attributes)

LANGUAGE:

• Revision of the digraph “ch” and “sh” was done.

UOI :

(Rotation and Revolution)

TDT : How the world works

Central Idea : The Earth’s natural cycles influence the activity of living things.

• Revision of revolution and seasons.
• Impact of revolution on animals.
• Introduction of hibernation and migration.
• Revision of the following vocabulary: Equator, axis, Northern hemisphere, Southern hemisphere, poles, rotation.

Homework:

Language: Write the following ‘sh’ words (2 times) in the notebook:

Math: Complete page numbers 23, 30 and 37 in the Firefly Number book.

Transdisciplinary theme: How we express ourselves.

Central idea: People use different art forms to express their culture.

1. The students reflected on their overall understanding of the unit through a reflection sheet.
2.  The students were tuned into a new unit through a learning engagement (group activity) which was executed in the class.

Language

2. Formative assessment and dictation was conducted.

Math

1. Students practiced real life word problems related to the calendar and time.

UOI:

Learners used a critical thinking tool PMI (Plus, Minus, Interesting) for the reflection of the 3rd LOI – Impact of machines on our lives.

Language:

The poems given in the chapter no. 26 of the EE book were read and discussed in the class. The poems were read for enjoyment, rhyme and rhythm.

Homework:

• Complete the given worksheets.
• LWE – Complete the exercises of Week 15 Day 3 to Day 5 and Home weekend task.

Note: For UOI send one complex machine on Tuesday without fail.
