Science Fair trials

Dear students, upcoming COSP is Physics subject, you are required to take trials for the topic you selected for Science fair. Upcoming COSP from monday Day 1 will be the last COSP allotted to you for science fair. It is mandatory to take trials. Also you need to keep your presentation updated according to the rubrics given to you.

It will be your responsibilities to arrange required materials for the project and/or as you asked for the same from School Lab and perform the experiment and complete trials.

Since maximum students have Opted for Physics topic, teachers will be available in lab throughout and guide you for the same. Bio and Chem students need to Gtalk to their concerned teachers and take trials with them.

We expect you to finish trials to avoid further haste. Please utilize your time for science fair given by school effectively .

Central Idea : The Earth’s natural cycles influence the activity of living things.

  • Read alouds and Gallery walk.
  • Discussion on impact of seasons on human beings.
  • Connection between TDT and Central idea was done
  • Revision of the following vocabulary: hibernation, migration, revolution, orbit,  axis, Northern hemisphere, Southern hemisphere, poles, rotation.



Language: Write the following th and th’ words (2 times) in the notebook:

Math: Write days of the week once in the notebook. (Follow the CW format)

Unit Of Inquiry:

  • Under the transdisciplinary theme ‘How we organize ourselves’ students are  learning about origin of the product, changes products go through and distribution of the products.
  • Students visited Sumul dairy to observe the process of different dairy products.
  • They also learned to make flow chart.



  • Students enhanced their listening, reading and speaking skills by enacting the story ‘A little mouse’ followed by few activities related to the same.


  • Read aloud was conducted in the class.
  • FA was conducted.
  • Dictation was given.


  • Subtraction sums and word problems involving  single digit was done.
  • Inverse relation between addition and subtraction was introduced.
  • Students learned O’ clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to.
  • Estimation and rounding off was done.




Task 1- Make a flowchart of strawberry shake in  UOI book.
Task 2- Read chapter 1 – The hidden treasure and also write 2 common nouns and adjectives from the reading booklet in Language notebook.

Math: Learners attempted the FA on equivalent fractions and simplification of fractions. Further, they were introduced to improper fractions, mixed numbers, like and unlike fractions.

Reader: Learners continued reading the chapter 6 using the strategy ‘reading like a writer.’
