Revision of all the Rhymes

Introduction of new rhyme:

Revision: letter, sounds and blending

Introduction of new letter- ‘y’ through a story.

Jolly phonics song for letter ‘y’ and

Introduction of new tricky word- ‘What’.

Revision of all the concepts through activities and learning centers (greater than-lesser than, tens and ones, backward counting, before and after numbers)



Transdisciplinary theme: Sharing the planet.

Central Idea: Plants sustain life on Earth and play a role in our lives.

Field trip- Students were taken to KG farm to give an exposure of different types of plants trees, herbs, shrubs, climbers and creepers.  

After the visit, discussion was done in the class.


Language: Tricky word booklet- page no 20, and Reflection sheet of letter ‘y’.

Math: Math booklet Term 1- page number 9 and 10 for pre math concept.

Dear parents,

[Highlight Of The Week] [Unit Of Inquiry]

Students inquired into their belief and values. They have taken various learning engagements such as “Gallery walk”, unpacking the central idea using “Hot potato” activity and watching videos of beliefs and tradition of their friends across the globe.


Students appeared for their f.a based on their current unit(Fractions). Students worked in groups to jot down their understanding of the term fractions using the Fryers model. Misconceptions were cleared and more practice for fraction’s unit was taken up.


Students completed Chapter 8 of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang using the strategy “Writing a short summary”.



[Unit Of Inquiry]
  • Bring 2 or more artefacts from home and prepare a presentation. (oral or written) Monday is no screen day.
  • Conduct a primary/secondary research about your chosen artefacts (to understand the significance, beliefs and values attached to these artefatcs).
  • Write down your gathered information on a paper neatly.(display purposes).



  1. Skim and scan chapter 9 of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to find out any 10 hard words.
  2. Write the hard words in your vocabulary diary, find the meaning and form a sentence of the chosen words.
