Language: Learners started reading the chapter 11 of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang using the comprehension strategy they are comfortable with.

Math: Learners attempted summative assessment task by making lemonade/buttermilk and noting the fractions of ingredients they used in preparation.

Life class: Learners observed the rituals performed at home and noted who they believe does that job.

  1. Reread the chapter till the page read in the class.
  2. Frame 5 brilliant sentences  with descriptive vocabulary using the theme “Appreciation”

  1. 5/10 and 8/20
  2. 5/8 and 3/4
  3. 4/6 and 1/2
  4. 3/8 and 5/6

Q:2 Simplify the following:

  1. 56/78
  2. 24/36
  3. 125/150

Q3.Word problem:

a)Piyush used 1/5 cup of lemon juice, 2/7 cup of lemon juice, and 3/8 cup of mango nectar to prepare a drink. Order the fraction of used juices from greatest to least.

b)You went out for a walk. You walked 3/4 of a km and sat down to rest. Then you walked 3/8 of a km again. What fraction of distance did you walk altogether?

c) You made two types of cookies. You used 2/3 of cup of sugar for one recipe and 1/4 of a cup for other. What fraction of sugar did you use in all?

Reader – The Tale of Despereaux

Students read the next chapters in flow and also got an opportunity to enhance their oral communication skills by summarizing the chapter verbally in the class. They also identified the theme of the chapters read in the class.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Update the step 1 of The Big 6 Research. Also start working on steps 2, 3 and 4.

Write summary of chapter 39 in the Google Doc shared with you earlier.

The writing process was revised and the first 2 steps were done  ( Pre writing and Drafting) for the story The sea kingdom.

UOI

Student reflected on how to save earth’s resources ?  Air, Water, Land. How should people be more responsible and conserve natural resources ?
