Task 1: Solve the following word problems:
a) Anaya, Aadi and Utsav have 36 markers altogether. If the markers are to be equally shared between them, how many markers will each person get?
b) A train can hold 900 passengers. If there are 15 coaches attached in the train, how many passengers will each coach hold?
c) Twara had 678 books in total. She donated them among 8 different orphanages. How many books did each orphanage receive?

Task 2: Solve the following sums:

a) 631 ÷ 28         b) 179 x 42        c) 789 ÷ 3      d) 546 ÷ 15       e) 70 ÷ 5     f) 512 x 51

Math: Learners learnt about Tessellations and made their own Tessellations using Rangometry.

Language: The 25th chapter – ‘Everything comes right’ of the reader ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ was read. Learners were given chits with sentences written on them from the Chapter 24 from their reader. They were asked to arrange them into a proper sequence.

Language: Learners were given chits with sentences written on them from the Chapter 24 from their reader. They were asked arrange them into a proper sequence. Later, they continued to write their story using the Writing Process.

  5. Keshav built a rectangular tool shed that is 8 meters wide and has an area of 96 square meters. What is the length of Keshav’s tool shed?
  6. The area of a rectangle is 42 square inches. The length is 7 inches. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?
  7. A tiny but horrible alien is standing at the top of the Empire State Building of height 443 meters and threatening to destroy the city of New York! A Men In Black agent is standing at ground level, of base 18 metres across the street. How much area will the Men in black will have to cover to reach at the top of the Empire State Building to kill the alien?

  • Learners attempted a worksheet on tessellations on identifying the pattern and extending it.
  • Students practiced the Long Division method of Division and rounding off tens,hundreds and thousands value in a number.
