Dear Jr.KG Parents,

A home for  a child is a place where he/she learns with comfort and joy. As the life oriented journey of your child begins we ensure that your child is at home, away from home.

On behalf of my entire team, I Nisha Jain heartily welcomes you to the new academic session 2018-19.

We believe that each child has its own uniqueness and so we, strive to shape their individuality .Our goal is to foster child’s learning by providing a child friendly environment and catering to every child’s need through differentiation, experiential learning with focus on building character and competence in conducive environment.

We as a team, seek your cooperation and involvement in fostering the growth of each child through play.We would like to sum up our goal by sharing this quote by O Fred Donaldson “Children learn as they play, most importantly in play children learn how to learn.”

Now, I would like to introduce my team.



Nisha Jain joined Fountainhead in February 2012. She completed her B.Com. from S.P.B College, Surat and her MBA from SCDL, Pune. She has pursued B.Ed from Singhania University.She has previously taught at Kangaroo Kids for 2 years. She enjoys listening to music, reading love stories and is a movie fanatic.



Tasneem has been associated with Fountainhead School since November 2010. She holds a B.H.Sc (S.N.D.T) with specialization in child psychology and a B.Ed. She likes watching movies, reading and traveling.



Parvin Samnani believes that “One can learn at any age”. She holds a B.A and B. Ed. in Sociology from SNDT University, Mumbai. She has been associated with Fountainhead School since 2011. Her passion is reading books and listening to music. She loves to interact and spend time with kids. She is enthusiastic and curious by temperament.



Rita Menghrani is born and brought up in Jaipur(Rajasthan). She is a Commerce graduate, from Rajasthan University and joined Fountainhead School in 2013. She previously worked with L.P Savani School for a short stint of 5 months. Teaching is her passion and she shares good bonding with her students. She is persuading her B.Ed from S.N.D.T.. She likes watching movies, cooking, reading and traveling.



Trishna Sarkar joined Fountainhead School as a Special Educator in 2013. She holds a B.A. and a Diploma in P.P.T.C. She is in the field of teaching since 2006. She loves drawing, cooking and listening to music. 



Dharini Upadhyay has completed Masters in English and B. Ed. from VNSGU. She has an enthusiastic personality and loves the unpredictability of life. Dharini joined FS in 2015. She enjoys travelling, adventures and cooking. She likes being with children. She firmly believes in the principle that learning is a lifelong process and hence is a lifelong learner.



Riddhi Jain has done Post Graduation in Marketing through VNSGU in 2009, and is currently pursuing MA in Psychology. She joined Fountainhead as an Early Years Teacher in 2016. She has an energetic and chirpy personality and loves listening to music.



Jimmi Lineswala has worked with Fountainhead Preschool for 3.5 years and is a part of the Early Years team since 2016. She has completed B.Sc Chemistry in 2000. She likes reading books, travelling and spending time with her close ones. She strongly believes that “We are lifelong learners” and her motto is to create a playful and motherly bond with kids.



Vinkal holds a B.Ed. degree. She has worked with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar school for 6 years and has also worked with L. P. Savani International for 5 and a half years. She joined Fountainhead school in April 2017. She likes listening to music and exploring different places.



Juhi holds a BBA from Navnirman Institute of Management, Surat. She started teaching while she was studying and wanted to explore the field further. This quest lead her to join the school and hence she commenced working with FS in July’16 as an Early Year teacher. She loves to explore things and places and always tries to seek opportunities from her surroundings.  She believes that learning is a lifelong process and there’s no end to gain knowledge from divergent sources. She loves kids and gels well with them. She has tutored from home and has taught in coaching classes for 5 years. Juhi is passionate about imparting knowledge as she too gets to learn during this process. She loves travelling, listening to music and reading.

I hope you all had a refreshing and rejuvenating summer break.I , Manisha Naik,  welcome you all to Sr. KG and the new exciting academic year of 2018 – 19 with lot of enthusiasm and zest!

Our team mission is  “To provide a natural environment to play and develop in our students, the will to become lifelong learners by honing their creativity and imagination, help them to think out of the box and make them future ready.”

We assure safe, secure and conducive learning environment for all the students through experiential, play based  learning. Me and my team look forward to work in collaboration with you all, in shaping the lives of these little ones by achieving our school’s mission statement. You can write to me or to the Homeroom teacher of your child at any point of time using the daily diary if you have any concerns. We will be communicating through the daily diary and blog.  We request you all to check them on regular basis for daily updates.

Manisha Naik : Team leader (

She is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University and has completed her studies at Dalmia Lions College, Mumbai.She has done B. Ed from Singhania university.   She initiated her career with Design Techniques in Mumbai, as an Assistant Manager. She joined Fountainhead School in the year 2008 and is associated with school since then. . She enjoys swimming, listening to music and her hobbies are designing outfits and visual arts.

Shreya Kantharia: HRT Glitter

She believes that “We all are lifelong learners.” There is no specific age for learning. She is in the teaching profession since 2008 and is associated with FS since Feb 2014. She has done BSC(IT) from South Gujarat University. She loves reading, cooking, listening to music, dancing and making friends. She is committed towards her work, is lively and humorous.

Anupama Khedkar:  HRT Sparkle

She is a Commerce Graduate from Pune University, Maharashtra. She began her journey of learning and teaching in 2012. She worked with in an IT firm in Pune before joining FS in 2013. She discovered love and joy among the kindergarteners. She is committed towards her work, is lively and humorous. She believes there is a child living in everyone of us and the best way to keep the child alive is to be with kids. Her motto is making learning playful, enjoyable and child-friendly.

Juhi Awatramani: HRT Glimmer

She has done her B.Pharm from Saurashtra University She is a member of FS family since April 2013. She aims at 3 P’s in life: Professional progress, Physical health & Peace of mind. She believes that each child is unique with distinct personality and can be moulded through acceptance and affection. Her strengths are her patience & her ability to easily establish a rapport with kids. Music, movies & reading are what she prefers in her free time. Her ambition is to earn a lot of respect in her profession through her hard work & dedication. Her dream is to influence children positively, in each & every aspect of life. Currently, she is the Resource Teacher for EY team.

Dimple Topiwala: HRT Kindle

She has completed her graduation in commerce. She has also studied her masters from Deakin University, Australia. She has a  diploma in aviation, hospitality and travel management from Frankfinn and has worked with SpiceJet airlines. She enhanced her flair for designing with a diploma course in fashion designing from NIFD. She loves to be around kids  and hence she has devoted herself to teaching since 2011 and is working with Fountainhead School since 2013.

Rashida Golwala :  HRT Shine

She started her journey of teaching and learning in 2011. She is a B.Sc. Psychology Graduate from SNDT University, Mumbai.  To satisfy her urge for learning, she is currently pursuing her M.A. in Psychology. She believes in spreading knowledge with love and care.  She thinks there is a child living in each one of us and the best way to keep the child alive is to be with kids. Her motive is making learning playful, enjoyable and child-friendly.

Saakshi Dubey: HRT Blaze

She has completed her graduation in commerce from South Gujarat University. She has a Post Graduate Diploma degree in Computer Application. Her journey with FS started in the year 2015. She holds work-experience in different fields like banking, customer support and teaching.

Suchi Dakoria: HRT Ignite

She hails from Vadodara, and presently resides with her family in Surat. She has completed her Diploma in Architecture and Interior Designing from Parul Institute and Maharaja Sayajirao University respectively. She is an avid traveler and a book worm. Her other hobbies include basketball, singing, dancing and music. She joined Fountainhead School in 2013. Teaching gives her immense pleasure and satisfaction. She firmly believes that, “It doesn’t matter what others do, what you do matters.”

Tasnim Batliwala : HRT Dazzle

She is in the teaching profession since 2007 and is associated with this institute since February 2014. She completed her graduation from P. T. Science College, Surat with Chemistry as the principle subject. She likes doing creative work, reading books, watching TV and making friends.

Silky Malu: Resource teacher

She is from Odisha and settled after marriage in Surat past eight years ago. She has completed her Diploma in Fashion Designing from INIFD Surat. She has a thirst to read books and believe to be a lifelong learner. Her other hobbies are traveling and baking.She is a lively person with a heart to spread smiles all around. Blessed being a mother, she loves to be with kids and hence joined Fountainhead school in 2017-18 as EY teacher. She strongly believes that “ The best way to learn is to teach”.

I am a graduate in the field of Psychology from Mithibai college, Mumbai. Have done my B.ed in 2000 from  Lucknow university. The artist in me made me pursue a diploma in Commercial arts and the learner in me motivate  to do M.B.A after I had kids. I am delighted to be a part of Fountainhead school since 2012. I am energetic,enthusiastic and creative.I love art and craft and listening to music.

Registration open – Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO) 2018

Registration open – Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO) 2018

Dear Parents & Students,

This is to inform you that registrations are open for Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO) 2018. The Mathematical Olympiad Program in India, which leads to participation of Indian students in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is organized by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf on National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. This program is one of the main initiatives taken by the NBHM. Its main purpose is to spot Mathematical Talent among pre-university students in the country. Students with an aptitude/interest for Maths specifically are strongly recommended to take up this test. 

The exam will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018, between 10 AM to 1 PM at different centers all over India. In order to be eligible for the RMO, it is mandatory that students qualify through this centrally administered PRMO. No other independently administered examinations will be recognized.

The PRMO will be a machine-correctable 3-hour duration test of 30 questions – some 2 marks, some 3 marks, and the remaining 5 marks. Each answer is a 1-digit or 2-digit answer. Each question has an answer which is a number with one or two digits. Sample PRMO questions and Sample OMR sheet showing marked answers can be downloaded from here.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools will be exam centers. Certain other exam centers may be selected carefully and will be mentioned on the website.

A carbon copy of the answer sheet (OMR) will be given to the student after the exam; students can check their answers as against the answers which will be uploaded on the MTA website.

  1. NOTE: The OMR sheet MUST be retained by the individual student till the conclusion of the Mathematical Olympiad Programme for 2018-19. This will be used for verification purposes for all steps of the Mathematical Olympiad.

From each region, the top (up to) 300 students from Classes 8,9,10,11 and the top (up to) 60 students from Class 12 will be eligible to write the Regional Mathematics Olympiad exam. For the KV, JNV schools which have a countrywide coverage, the number to be selected is up to 5 percent from Classes 8,9,10,11 and up to 1 percent from Class 12, of the number of registrations.

Based on the Regional Math Olympiad exam, the final list of 30 top students from Classes 8,9,10,11 and the top 6 students from Class 12 plus the next 5 girl students will be sent by each regional coordinator to HBCSE by November 30, 2018. This will be done after completing re-evaluation (provision for which is mandatory). HBCSE will announce the list of students eligible to appear for Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) 2019 from all regions by December 07, 2018.

The INMO exam will be held on January 20, 2019, and will be conducted by each regional coordinator and the answer papers sent to HBCSE.

The deadline to register for the PRMO exam through school (center registration) is 14th June, 2018. The fee for the exam is Rs. 220/- which will be deducted from the imprest amount.

1. The center registration will only happen if we have 20 or more students. In case we have less than 20 students then students will be informed to apply directly through other registration centers published on PRMO website.

2. You can fill the registration form for National Science Olympiad and other examinations as well if you want your child to appear for the same. More details about these will be sent when the notification will be released.
