Dear Students,

  1. Solve the mix bag homework posted by Ishita Ma’am, in your Mix bag homework notebook.
  2. Make the necessary changes in your speech after today’s feedback and practice it. You would be giving the same speech again on Monday with the changes made.
  3. Hopefully, you have already read the book you have chosen for the book review. If not then please utilize this weekend to do so as on Thursday, 26th July 2018, we would be conducting the book review.

Dear parent,

The new academic year started with fun and enthusiasm.

We formed essential agreements,  discussed routines and procedures and enjoyed team games while introducing each other.

Students revised learning of Grade 1 Unit “Genre”. In Grade 2 Students are learning ‘Folk music Genre’ in which they are Learning Marathi folk song “Navri Natali

Glimpses of music class

Dear parents,

The new academic year started with fun and enthusiasm.

We formed essential agreements,  discussed routines and procedures and enjoyed Team games while introducing each other.

Students learned to identify the context of particular art and/or creation. They also got the opportunity to appreciate Gujarati folk music during the music class. Learners explored a concert called “Dayro” and in the context of Dayro students also got knowledge of Prabhatiya, Lokvarata, Lokgeet, Chhand-Duha which used to be performed in “Dayro”.

  1. Bring your parent passes to school on Monday, without fail in case they have not been upgraded yet.
  2. Since we have our first book review session on 26th July, kindly finish reading your book at the earliest if not done yet. Make the most out of this weekend and prepare for the review.

Grade 1 – Visual Art

Dear parent,

Students explored the “Elements of Art” (Line and Shape). Teacher read a book “Line and Circle” by Trotsky Marudu and students were asked to imagine and create a drawing using lines in their book.

They explored and drew different types of line- vertical, horizontal, diagonal and curved/ wavy lines.

Dear parent,

Students reflected on their prior knowledge of“Elements of Art” (line, colour, shape, and space ) by exploring a dry as well as a green leaf.

They explored various objects in the classroom, around them, and made connections with 2D and 3D shapes. The learners learnt about triangular and square based pyramid properties by creating a clay model.
