Dear All,

Fountainhead students and teachers participated in  “The TSL school sustainability video challenge ” in September 2017 and the results of the challenge were declared on 7th July 2018.

Fountainhead is declared as “Runner up” in this challenge.

Trust for Sustainable Living is an online platform whose mission is “To inspire more people to work towards a sustainable future”. The TSL Schools Sustainability Challenge is a video contest for schools around the world. This challenge recognises and rewards the sustainability action and leadership of schools around the world. Let us all congratulate the Fountainhead team of students , teachers and school media team who participated in the challenge.

The team consisted of:

Formative Assessment was conducted for the 3rd LOI.

Language

Students explored the poems given in the chapter ‘Poetry By Children on Travel’ of Empowering English and identified the similes used in the poem to understand how the poets make word pictures using creative comparisons.

Homework

Empowering English (page no. 46)

The poet in the poem ‘The Hot Air Balloon’ finds her ride very peaceful. Write 3-5 sentences about what she might see when she looks down from her hot air balloon. Use your imagination.

Dear Parents,

Please note that the organizers could screen only one movie, i.e. “Mysteries of the Unseen World” , due to technical error. Hence Rs. 250 will be deducted from student imprest deposit instead of Rs. 500. The amount will be deducted on the basis of today’s attendance at school.

Day 1 – Wednesday. 

Math: A revision of all the mathematical concepts introduced so far was done through an engaging activity. Formative assessment feedback was given to the students individually and they were asked to redo the sums in order to correct their mistakes.

UOI: Students understood how imagination plays an important role in finding alternatives to solve a problem which leads to new inventions.
