Drop off old shoes and slippers so that someone in need can get new ones.
All footwear that is dropped off will be sent to Greensole (http://www.greensole.in/web/home
), an organization that will then recycle these shoes to convert them into brand new footwear for underprivileged kids. The newer, recycled shoes will then be given out in Surat itself with the help and money of ONGC. The footwear can be dropped off in your bus with the conductor or in the Drop Boxes one of the following places:

You can drop off the shoes from 6th August to 10th August. Feel free to drop as many as you can.
Please tie up your shoes or slippers together before dropping them off. You may drop off any shoes but NO studs or heels.

Please note that students are given a sheet to interview their parents regarding the Economic Activities parents are engaged in. This Activity is related to our upcoming Unit: Engines of Economy, wherein students will learn about how the Economy of a Country is run.
