Day 5 – Wednesday. 

Math:

  • Teacher role modeled the Ramp it up activity to introduce the concept of measuring weight using the standard units of measurement. Students learned 1 kg = 1000 g. 
  • Students solved a worksheet on measuring weight.
  • Students practiced addition and subtraction of 6-digit numbers.
  • Students selected their portfolio piece.

Note: Kindly go through the goal sheet (Photocopy which was sent home) and let me know through a DD to what extent your child is working towards the goals /the child has improved /achieved the goal. While reverting please mention the specific goals as there are 2 goals.

  • Students revised mathematical concepts like ascending/descending order, skip counting, expanded form and comparison of numbers up to 6-digits through learning centers.
  • Students learned how to read and write 6 digit number along with its succeeding and preceding number.

UOI:

  • Learners revised different landforms and waterbodies through a video and a read aloud.

Language:

  • Students did character description of Moonface in pairs.

Homework:

  • Refer to the common blog for Hindi and Gujarati homework.
