CULTURE DAY NOTE !!!!

Dear Parents,

In connection with the current unit ” Beliefs and Values”. We are celebrating “Culture Day” tomorrow. Please dress your ward in traditional dress and also send one artefact with them about which they will talk for 2 min. They are expected to bring traditional food to add to the ambience while keeping the food policy in mind.

Students are expected to carry their school uniform and shoes. They will change their clothes after the session.

  3. Jenny decided to order 30% more flour for his restaurant than last year. If he ordered 250kg last year what weight of flour should he order this year?
  4. When two Directors released their first album, 150 copies were downloaded in the first week. For their second album, 32% fewer copies were downloaded. How many copies of their second album were downloaded?
  5. Samay spelt 13 out of 20 words correctly on his spelling test. Write his test score as a per cent.

We will have the learning centers activity tomorrow, you need to make 5 different Graphic Organisers of your choice in your PYP journal and fill the same while exploring the centers.

B) Dear students,

You have been appreciating the surroundings in many ways so far, but it is time to show a caring attitude towards our planet, towards each living being, towards the resources which makes our life easier. Let us watch the following videos –
A simple yet powerful task is, to design a poster post watching these videos. You need to critically think for a problem you witness around you locally or globally, think of a creative solution ( it can be as simple as one shown in the talent awareness video as it has to be a doable task).
You would want to add the following points in your poster –
– A situation around which disturbs you.
– A possible solution to that problem.
– A movement to engage more people in this problem-solving.
– A slogan or a quote to spark that awareness in the viewer’s mind.
You have come a long way so far and it is for sure that you are furthermore critical thinkers, problem solvers and the communicators with “I CAN, I WILL…” attitude.
Let us make this planet a more safe and friendly place for one and all.
