Unit 5 – Let’s Escape on an Escapade!

Novel Study:  ‘Haroun and the Sea of Stories.’

NOTE:

UNIT 1: Book club (Presentation and communication skills)

In this unit, students will read and present books. The skills developed and catered are presentation and communication skills. The Summative Assessment for the same will be taken in the month of March.

(This unit will not be assessed in Term 2 examination)

Assessment Detail:

The exam will be divided into 2 components:

(i) Component 1: On-Screen examination to assess Criteria A, B, C & D – 60 minutes*

(ii) Component 2: Pen and Paper examination to assess Criteria A, B, C & D – 60 minutes

*to provide for any extra time only if any technical issues arise during the online assessment the online components are scheduled for 90 mins.

Fully charged Chromebook will be required along with your personal stationery and earphones. In case your Chromebook is given for repair, bring a receipt for the same.

  • All the resources shared on Curricle(subject resource sheet and google presentation), Google Classroom, practice papers as well as worksheets provided (online or in hard copy) will be considered as part of the syllabus and will be sufficient to prepare for the examination.
  • Paper will include short and long responses type questions.
