Please find the Final Term Assessment syllabus and details below:

Grade 9  Criterion-wise units
Criteria Units to be assessed

Criterion A: Analysing

i. identify and explain the content, context, language, structure, technique and style of text(s) and the relationship among texts

ii. identify and explain the effects of the creator’s choices on an audience

iii. justify opinions and ideas, using examples, explanations and terminology

iv. interpret similarities and differences in features within and between genres and texts.

Criterion B: Organising

Criterion C: Producing Text

iii. select relevant details and examples to develop ideas.

Excerpt from ‘Great Expectations’

Assessment Details:

  • Paper will consist of short, medium and long response questions.
  • The assessment will be an on-screen assessment to assess Criteria A, B, C, and D.
  • Duration will be 120 minutes- to attempt all the questions.
  • Fully charged Chromebook will be required along with your personal stationery and earphones. In case your Chromebook is given for repair, bring a receipt for the same.
  • All the resources shared on Curricle(subject resource sheet and central presentations), Google Classroom as well as the worksheets provided(online or in hard copy) will be considered as a part of the syllabus and will be sufficient to prepare for the assessment.

NOTE:

UNIT 1: Book club (Presentation and communication skills)

In this unit, students will read and present books. The skills developed and catered are presentation and communication skills. The Summative Assessment for the same will be taken in the month of March.
