Language

Listening and Speaking activities related to Recount(Narrative Writing) were done in the class.
Students practiced for the upcoming literary event through games.
Language With Ease Reference Book- Week-17 was discussed.
Students played different games to enhance their vocabulary.

Math

Read aloud of ‘Amanda Beans’ was conducted to introduce the sign of multiplication.
Multiplication Properties of ‘0’ and ‘1’ through various activities was introduced by the teacher.
Students practiced the word problems of Addition and Subtraction through a worksheet.

Culture Day celebration

Culture Day celebration

Dear parents,

 

We are delighted to inform you that we plan on celebrating our traditions on Tuesday the 5th of March. Students are encouraged to wear their traditional clothes. Furthermore, they are encouraged to bring traditional delicacy for the potluck on that day.

 

Students are expected to carry their uniform to school.

Celebrating Culture!!

Celebrating Culture!!

Dear Parents,

In connection with the current unit ” Beliefs and Values”. We are celebrating “Culture Day” on 5th March 2019, i.e on Tuesday. Please dress your ward in traditional dress and also send one artefact with them. They are expected to bring traditional food to add to the ambiance while keeping the ‘Food Policy’ in mind.

Students are expected to carry their school uniform and shoes. They will change their clothes after the session.

      Assessment Details:

  • Question Paper will consist of questions seeking a short, medium and long response.
  • The exam will be divided into 2 components:

     (i) Component 1: Pen and Paper Test- 60 mins

     (ii) Component 2: On-Screen Examination – 60 mins

     (Extra Time will be provided only if any technical issues arises during the online assessment, hence the online            assessment are scheduled for 90 mins. in the Exam Time-Table)

  • Questions will be asked based on the Criteria of individual units assessed during Summative Assessments. Eg: If a Unit-X has catered to learning objective A- strand (i), (ii) and objective B-strand (i) only, then the questions from this unit will only be asked in Criteria A and B.
  • All the resources shared on Curricle (subject resource sheet and central presentations), Google Classroom as well as the worksheets provided (online or in hard copy) will be considered as a part of the syllabus and will be sufficient to prepare for the assessment.

Important notes for On-screen Assessment:

  • Fully charged Chromebook will be required along with your personal stationery and wired earphones are only permitted. In case your Chromebook is given for repair, bring a receipt for the same.

  • Cube activity : Learners were given exposure of counting using cube where they rolled the cube and counted the dots on it.

Grade 11 – ESS – Year end examination information

Grade 11 – ESS – Year end examination information

Year end examination for ESS for Grade 11 students will have the following units as a part of syllabus.

Unit 1: Foundations of environmental systems and societies

Unit 2: Ecosystems and ecology

Unit 3:
3.1 – An introduction to biodiversity
3.2 – Origins of biodiversity

Please note that sub-units 3.3 on wards will not be asked in this examination.

There will be only one paper. The detail of the paper are as under:

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Maximum marks : 50
Types of questions: Short-answer type questions; data based and short case study based questions etc.
You will be allowed to use GDC during the exam. Please carry a pencil and a ruler in addition to pens for writing.
