Activity for upcoming unit.

Activity for upcoming unit.

Dear Parents,

We solicit your active support for an activity to be undertaken by the students for the upcoming unit in Integrated Humanities titled Food & Consumption. This activity will be a part of their Formative Assessment. For the activity, students will be required to sow, tend and harvest either of these crops for 30 days: Coriander, Spinach, Fenugreek (methi), Mustard and Green Garlic. The seeds for these crops shall be provided from the school. They can either be grown in a container, pot, trough or on a small patch of land. The children will be guided about the methods to grow these crops.

We request you to monitor the process of tending to the crops. The students are required to record their progress through photographs and videos.

Regards,

Homework IH

Dear Students,

Please go through the following poem and answer the questions which follow:

Where The Mind Is Without Fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Questions:

Identify the key words and phrases which generates emotions about the motherland?

What impressions it creates on the reader’s mind?
