Central idea: Plants sustain life on Earth and play a role in our lives.

  

  • Students made a connection with the central Idea and the Transdisciplinary theme through class discussion and the read aloud of the book “The Family of the Earth “ by Schim Schimmel

Math:

  • Writing of numbers with correct formation on sand tray/flour tray/slate and chalk.
  • Revision of all mathematical concepts till 1- 40 were done through learning centers
  • Writing of numbers from 1-40 in the notebook.

 

 

Language:

  • Introduction of initial consonant blends :

  • Revision of vowels
  • Revision of blending and segmenting.

Dear Parents,

As we are approaching the end of this year, it’s time to make some sweet memories. We would like to end this journey with “crispy snack bites” for our lovely kids. So, moms get on your toes!! As the POTLUCK is due on 20th April and 21st April, 2017.

  1. All students of Sr KG Shine have to bring ‘Cake’ on 21st April, Friday.
  2. Kindly note that each student has to bring food sufficient for 10 kids only.

Important note : On 20th April, few other sections of Sr. Kg. will be bringing the food. So, Shine parents have to send food on 21st April only.

Shine : SLC Slots

Dear Parents,

These are the final slots for SLC which is scheduled on 15th April, 2017. Kindly adhere to the timings. Each slot is of 30 min and 2 students will be coming in one slot. It is mandatory for the child to accompany the parent. Also the new ID cards (Grade-1) will be provided, in exchange of the old ID card (1 bearer card and 1 ID card).

Introduction- of a new rhyme Snail from Waldorf Book of Animal Poetry   

Snail..Once I saw a little shell, upon the garden wall.

I knocked upon the little door, no answer came at all.

But as I turned to go away, A snail crept out to see. ‘who knocked upon my little door?”

And waved his horns at me.

TDT: Sharing the planet.

Central idea: Animals adapt to survive in their natural habitat.

Learning Engagements:

  • Introduction to desert and polar habitat through different videos.
  • Discussion of different desert and polar  animals through  books.
  • Each class covered 2 animals of the desert and polar habitat (as per the inquiry in class)
  • Characteristics and features of those animals were catered.
