Students have to complete the homework in Math notebook:
  1. Ria will be visiting the dentist on 6th March. Her next appointment is on 19th March. How many days are there between the two appointments?

  1. Today is 4th March and Mia is leaving  for a trip to Jaipur on 10th March. How many days will she have to wait?

  2. Chesta goes shopping at 3 o’clock and returns at 25 minutes past 7. How much time did she spend shopping?

  3. Palak goes to bed at half past 8 in the evening and wakes up at 4 o’clock in the morning to make breakfast. How long did she sleep for?

Dear Parents,

UOI: Transdisciplinary theme: Where We Are In Place And Time

Through different read aloud,students  understood the meaning of migration.To  enhance understanding on migration, we had guest speaker session which helped students to connect with the challenges that one faces during migration and also the reasons behind why people migrate.

Language:

Dictation was conducted.

Students revised the story elements and students did a ‘you do model’ following all the steps of writing process.

Students illustrated  ‘wordless story’ and then orally presented their story.

Math:

Summative assessment of calendar and time was taken.

Students were introduced to the multiplication fact of 4 and 5.

Students were scaffold to create the multiplication fact of 6 and 7.

Dictation words: Dictation will be taken on 9th March, 2018.

Central Idea: Games can enhance our understanding about us.

  1. Students participated in ‘Global School Play Day’ where children were given time to play and learn independently.
  2. The students reflected on their overall understanding of the unit through a           reflection sheet.
