Chapter 5 and 6  from reader were conducted.

Retelling a story from pupil book 3 was conducted. Students could write the story in their own words.

Introduction of ordinal numbers from 1st to 20th was done.

Redo of FA for place value concept was done.

Unit of inquiry:  

Read aloud of various  books was done.

Guest speaker session was conducted with the purpose of deepening their understanding about the role of an author and illustrator, their writing style and how do they work together.

Few Important points regarding the meeting

  • Each slot will be of 35 minutes (30 minutes discussion and 5 minutes transition time)
  • Students will accompany and wait outside the class, while the PTI discussion is going on and join the meeting for goal setting.
  • It is compulsory for both parents to attend this meeting.
  • Please ensure that you have discussed and mutually decided (along with your child) 2 goals (1 behavior and 1 academic).

The unit under the TDT ‘Where we are in place and time’ has commenced and  tuning in was conducted through “Photo inquiry”. Students inquired into the past generation by viewing the artefacts, childhood pictures and family album brought by the teacher.

Estimation:

 

Students enhanced their ‘’Estimation’’ skill through LEAP activity.

They observed and  estimated few objects kept in the class. Later, they had counted the actual number of the objects to compare it with the estimated number.

During this activity they enhanced their logical thinking skill.
