Happy days are here again!. The students of G8 are hosting a Business Fair on September 14 and September 15, 2017, Thursday and Friday. You are invited to visit the Fair during your home meal break timing from 10:10 am to 10:27 am on both the days. Do come in large numbers to cheer and motivate the G8 students in their commercial venture.

Please note that it is compulsory to fill this form whether you want the school to buy GDC on your behalf or if you want to purchase from outside. Dear Parents,

The purpose behind circulating the consent form is specifically to bring to your notice the significance of graphical calculator. As far as Mathematics curriculum is concerned, graphic calculators will reinforce student’s understanding by actually visualising graphs and other diagrammatic representations through the medium of graphics. Hence we are well in a position to assess, comprehend and analyse the Math concepts and most importantly IB and Cambridge board support the usage of graphic calculators extensively. This also helps students to explore complex mathematical problems. Students are required to use GDC during IGCSE and DP final examination, hence it is compulsory for all the students to learn the usage of GDC. Above mentioned information is already communicated to the students in the class.

This circular particularly is meant for reminding the importance of the graphic calculators and hence seek official approval for the same.

If you agree upon the logical reasoning already discussed and support the same then fill this form. If you want the school to purchase it then kindly send a cheque in the name of ‘Fountainhead education trust’ by 16th June (write the name of your child, class and section at the backside of the cheque). Students have to handover the cheque to their respective Math teacher.

Please also note some following points :

TAX : Price includes 6% CST TAX. LOCAL TAXES if any will be to your account.

WARRANTY : THREE YEARS from the date of Invoice as per the terms of CASIO INDIA COMPANY. Please note that the Battery Leakage is not part of the Warranty.

NOTE : Please Note that the price mentioned below is valid for the Deliveries till June 25th as there may be a change due to the Implementation of GST by the GOVT OF INDIA. Nevertheless, if there is no upward price revision due to GST then the price will remain the same otherwise the excess amount will be deducted from student’s imprest amount. You are requested to send the cheque only for the amount mentioned above.

Price of the GDC is mentioned in the form.

If you don’t fill this form within the last date mentioned above, we will assume that you will purchase GDC on your own.

Grade 7_Mathematics_Highlights of the week_24/03/2017

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

  1. Students learned about different angles made by parallel lines(Corresponding angles, alternate angles, co-interior angles, supplementary angles). They could also build a relationship between these angles. For this they did an activity, where they drew a pair of parallel lines and a transversal cutting these lines. They measured each angle and then it became easier for them to relate different angles.
  2. They learnt about different mathematical terminologies used in the lines and angles.
  3. Students were given enough practice from a worksheet and their textbook.
  4. Students further learnt how to construct different angles(30, 45, 60, 90 and 120)
  5. This week they also got some slots to prepare for their coming annual performance.

Grade 9 Fortuity_International Mathematics – Extended_Highlights of the week_24/03/2017

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

  1. Students did revision on the units which are expected to come in final term.
  2. We have started with a new topic – Probability. This is not a part of their final term syllabus but will be a part of Grade 10 syllabus.
  3. In Probability, students were made aware of mathematical terminologies used in the unit along with its conceptual understanding.
  4. As a tuning in activity, students were given some plates where a statement was written and they were expected to put that plate in the most appropriate category. Different categories being Likely, highly likely, equally likely, highly unlikely and unlikely. Based on this activity, discussion on Probability was carried forward.
  5. Another activity to explain theoretical and experimental probability, each student was given a coin and were they were asked to flip it 2 times, then 10 times and then 50 times. They were asked to write their observations. Discussion of the same was taken ahead.
  6. Combined event has also been taught to the students.
  7. Students have practiced questions on probability from their text book.
  8. Revision of the topics which are a part of their final term syllabus will be taken in last cycle before exams.

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

  1. Students have completed Direct and Inverse variation.
  2. This week, we did revision of the topics that are expected to come in final term.
  3. From Monday, we will start with a new unit. This unit will not be a part of their final term assessment but is a part of Grade 10 curriculum which will not be repeated.
