Settling task: Learners did their morning task of cleaning the classroom.

Language

 Tuning in for the new chapter ‘ The monkey and a crocodile’ from Empowering English reference book was  done in the class. Later they described (adjectives) both the animals ex: Monkeys are active, crocodiles are dangerous, etc. which was jotted down on a chart paper where the pictures were drawn.

[Read Aloud] Read a book  ‘ Little Cloud’ written by Eric Carle.

Math

 Revision of symmetry (Grade 1 concept)

[Unit Of Inquiry] Learners explored the UOI bulletin board once again and then answered the following questions in their UOI notebook

1) What is common in all these pictures?

2)Can you identify the feelings of the people in the pictures?

Homework

 Learners have to draw any 1 thing which comes in their mind when they think about the words shifting, journey or travelling.

Settling Time:

Learners revised the Learner Profile.

Language

1) Dictation was taken.

2) Learners were introduced the new spellings of the week- “cooperation, learn, should, creative, respect, empathy, write, make, thinker and caring.” They wrote the same three times in their writing notebook.

Settling Time:

Learners calculated the total number of fans and tube lights in Grade 2.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Learners had been given time to practice for the summative assessment. Their summative assessment will be taken on Tuesday.

Language

Learners heard the story “The Little Red Hen” and answered to the questions asked.

Language development:

Language Development- Learners revised the concepts of grammar through the exercise given in Language with ease reference book.

[Read Aloud]

Learners have to solve the given worksheet.

Unit of Inquiry:

Learners discussed about the artforms of all the cultures (Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali) in detail. They also made connection with the TDT charts. Later they were explained the rubric for the current unit in detail.

Language:

Learners revised the dictation words of the week.

Language Development:

Learners revised the grammar concept through Language with Ease reference book.

Math:

Learners revised all the math concepts done so far.

Learners wrote about the essential agreement which they don’t follow and the reason for not following the same.

Learners discussed all the art forms of Marathi culture which they have explored in dance, music, drama and V.A.

1. Learners revised the concept of articles by writing the following sentences in their writing notebook.

Market simulation: Total 5 objects were kept on the table with its price. Learners were asked to choose any 3 objects they would like to buy. They noted down the name of the object and it’s amount. They added those numbers to get total amount they need to spend.

Learners drew clock to show the given time.

Learners wrote a color they like the most and the thing they would want to have in the same color.

Learners presented the “Culture” scrapbook in the class.

Learners reflected on the art-forms of “Gujarati” culture.

Language

Learners played 1 minute game and continued with the read aloud ‘Breaking Promises’.

Learners segregated common noun, proper noun, verbs, adjectives and pronouns  from chapter 2 The Ant and the Grasshopper given in Empowering English and through sentences as well.

Language Development:- Learners revised the grammar concepts through the exercise given in the Language with ease reference book.

1.) Dodging for ordinal numbers.

2.) Learners did a sorting out activity for odd/ even numbers.

3.) Learners made calendar for the month of August. They were given the following questions and they did the same in their math notebook.
