Dear Parents,

Mentioned below are the timings for the Student Led  Conference on (16/04/2017 Sunday) booked by you. For the parents who did not book, the slots are allotted on the basis of availability. Kindly go through your child’s Term-2 report which  will  soon be shared. (check your mail for the same).

Please reach 5 minutes before your time slot.

Kindly be on time and adhere to the time slot allotted to you (30 minutes for 2 students)

Math:

  • Students revised  word problems of multiplication ( area and traditional method )

ICT:

  • The students made an advertisement on ‘The Magic Finger’book using google drawing.
  • The students will complete the remaining advertisement task at home.

Note: Please send the library books tomorrow, as according to our timetable , tomorrow is  our library slot, where students will return the books but will not issue.

Math :

  • Students were introduced to Carroll diagram and performed a cut and paste activity to build on the concept.

UOI:

  • End of the unit-reflection sheet was done .

Math:

  • Students will cut each strip of the worksheet done in the class and stick in the A3 size worksheet provided.

  • The story “William’s Doll” was read aloud to the students followed by a short discussion on Gender roles and stereotypes.
  • LWE: Week 20,day 3 was done.
  • Read aloud was done.

UOI:

  • Students selected pieces for portfolio and wrote a reflection.
  •  Summative assessment was conducted.

Math :

  • Students revised multiplication facts by playing games in pairs.

Language :

  •  Students watched a few videos to revise alliterations and similes.
  • Dictation was conducted.
  • LWE: Week 20,day 1 and 2 was done.

UOI:

  • Summative assessment was conducted.

                                                                                                       Homework

  • Language worksheets have to be completed .
  • Today  we have sent a colored sheet. It will be used as the cover page for the PYP portfolio. Add a title ‘My Grade 2 Journey’ to it. Students can draw their best learning or their favorite event of the year, on this sheet. Please help the children decorate it the way they want to. They can use crayons, sketch pens, small beads, etc.
    Kindly submit it on Monday without fail.

  • Students participated  and explored the case studies of young children in their groups and discussed the impacts of migration as a whole class..

Note: The FA book has been sent. Kindly go through it,sign it and send it back tomorrow.

  • Summative assessment was conducted through different centers.

Language:

  • Formative assessment of story writing was conducted, where students, made their own story using all the elements of story writing and following the writing process.
  • LWE: Week 19,day 5 was done.

  • Language worksheets (two) have to be solved and submitted on Friday.
  • LWE: Home weekend task has to be completed.
