Language :

  • Formative assessment of story writing was conducted, where students, made their own story using all the elements of story writing and following the writing process.
  • LWE: Week 19, day 3 and 4 was done.

UOI:

  • FA was conducted where students solved a worksheet in which different experiences of people who have migrated were given and they had to identify the push or pull factors behind their migration and also write the impact on the place of origin and place of destination.

 

                                                                Homework

Students will solve the following sums in the notebook

Maths:

  •  Students’ doubts related to all the operations taught in Math were clarified by the teacher.

Language:

  • Students listened to a video and made types of sentences related to the same , in the notebook.
  • Read aloud was done.

    UOI:

  • Students reflected on their understanding of the different learning engagements related to ‘Migration’ in the UOI notebook.
  • Read aloud was done.

  •  Students revised the process and co-created an advertisement for selling the book “The Magic Finger” along with the teacher.
  • Summative assessment was conducted.
  • Dictation was conducted.

 

UOI:

  •  A read aloud of the story “The hundred dresses ” was done related to the unit ‘Migration’.
  • Formative assessment was taken using a thinking tool. (CAF).

  • Students started with a Debate on the topic “Food Policy”. Later, the students revised the process and co-created an advertisement for selling the book “The Magic Finger” along with the teacher.
  • LWE: Week 19,day 1 and 2 were done.
  • Reading time was given.
  • Students chose  Math pieces for their portfolio.

  •  A read aloud of the story “My two Blankets” was done and reflection was taken using a thinking tool.

Math:

  • The students need to frame questions on the topic “Homework” in their math notebook referring to the types of questions done in the class.
  • Word problems to be solved using area and traditional method:
  •  I had 4 treasure chests. There were 56 pieces of gold in each. How much gold was there?
  •  

    Rhea had 8 boxes . In each box there were 75 chocolates.How many chocolates does she have in all ?

Language :

 

  • Students, with the help of the teacher solved an exercise ‘My big adventure’ given in the book – Language with Ease (page no. 106), where they used adjectives to complete the exercise and then with students’ responses the teacher extended the story.
  • Students solved an exercise given in the book – Language with Ease (page no. 107), where they used adjectives to complete the exercise and then extended the story in groups.
  • Reading time was given.

 

Maths:

  • Students revised the concept of Framing Good questions for conducting survey wherein they practiced making Dichotomous, Multiple Choice and Continuum Questions.
  • Students revised the different concepts of Math through Kahoot.

UOI:

  • Students reflected their understanding on the story of Riaz and Mukund through ‘Padlet’

 

  • ICT:
    • Introduction Of Padlet: (Follow the link from your email ID)
    Padlet is an on-line virtual“bulletin”board,where students and teachers  can collaborate, reflect, share links and pictures, in a secured location.

     

                                                                          Homework

Language:

  • Students need to frame sentences  using the following noun pairs:
  • 1)candles, birthday 2) fish, river 3) lion, jungle 4) sand, toys

Math:

  • The students need to frame 3 different questions in their math notebook on the topic “School Uniform” (refer to types of questions  done in the class)
  • Shapes: Find any 2 real life objects (for each 3D shape taught in the class) from your surroundings and write their names in your notebook.
  • Students will play the game related to 3D shapes at home using the link given below:

  • Students revised the 3-D shapes done earlier and were introduced to new 3-D shapes along with their properties.
  • LWE : Week 18,day 5 and home weekend task was done.

  • Students will solve the two worksheets given.
  • Solve the following in the notebook:

    Multiplication sums:

    25 x 7, 84 x 2, 59 x 5, 90 x 4, 51 x 4

    • Round off the product as explained in the class. (Eg: If the product of 12 x 4 = 48, rounded off no. is 50)

  • Students prepared Draft 2 after revising on the basis of teacher feedback. They then used CUPS strategy to edit their work.
  • Read aloud was done.
  • Dictation was conducted.

UOI:

  • Students watched videos on the ‘Story of Migration of Mahatma Gandhi’ and ‘the partition of India and Pakistan’, which helped them understand that it was the world’s largest mass migration and had its own implications.

                                                                       Homework

  • Students will publish the story in the journal sheet given.

Language:

  • Students prepared a Draft after revising on the basis of teacher feedback. They then used CUPS strategy to edit their work.They also revised their work using ARMS strategy.
    After working on the feedback by the teacher, students finally published their work.
  • Read aloud was done.

UOI:

  • Disclosed the Central Idea through word splash.
  • The students were taken on an Interactive Tour of Ellis Island through Virtual media. This session helped them understand the story of American Immigration.
  • Teacher  showed story “Riaz and Mukund” and later the students reflected on their understanding of the story in their notebooks.
