Dear Parent,
We as a school firmly believe that the school and parents are partners in nurturing the students and helping them progress and prosper in life.
We interact with parents on various forums such as PTM (Parents Teachers’ Meeting), PTC (Parents Teachers’ Conference) and PTI (Parent Teacher Interaction) so that there is an exchange of important information and together we can nurture the child.
For a teacher it is very important that she knows and understands each of her student well. For which, what better way of getting first hand information about various aspects related to the child’s life than visiting your homes and interacting with the family! This will help teachers connect better with the students and their families and will help in developing the right approach for planning the way forward in guiding and nurturing the students.
Keeping this in mind we’re taking a new initiative in Early years i.e. Home Visit. This year we are introducing this as a pilot project so only 3 of the sections from Jr.KG and 3 from Sr.KG will be having Home visits, rest will continue with PTI-Parent Teacher Interaction which is scheduled on 13th & 14th July. The home room teacher of your ward will seek your appointment through a phone call/Daily Diary for a mutually convenient time. The teacher will be visiting your home for approximately 30 to 40 mins and it would be desirable if she could meet all the family members (all the members who stay in the house) and interact with them. It is very much expected that both the parents are present at the time of visit.
Parents are not expected to offer anything to the teacher. You may offer tea, coffee, lemonade, buttermilk etc. out of courtesy.
We believe that you will support the school in this endeavour in taking a step forward towards knowing your child better and forging a way ahead towards her/his bright future.
Note: We will be sending a questionnaire tomorrow which is supposed to be filled by the parent/s and submitted to the homeroom teacher by Monday i.e 2nd July.
