Glimpses of the last Literary Event of Grade 3 – ‘Spell Bee’

Spell bee Competition initiated learners into the world of competitive learning, acting as an invaluable tool for language improvement. The healthy competitive spirit motivated the learners to learn on their own without any compulsion. Today’s event was thoroughly enjoyed by the participants and the audience. Each and every child who had participated had shown confidence.

The winner for the event are:

She also discussed homework and made them understand limited and unlimited resources.

Read aloud of a chapter from Faraway Tree was done.

Language Development: Learners revised all the grammar concepts through Language with Ease reference book.

Maths:

Word problems with remainders was taught in class.

Homework:

Language: Learn and frame sentence of the following words:

observe, lifted, property, particular, shoulder, industry, trousers, helmets, through, another, though, narrative, finished, whether, believe.

Maths: Solve the following Maths note book:

  1. Teacher places 55 books onto shelf. Each shelf holds 9 books. How many shelves does the teacher fill? How many books will remain?
  2. Nishka has 28 pencils. She shares them between her 5 friends. How many pencils will each of her friends get? How many pencils will remain with her?
  3. Krish has 35 ribbons. There are 7 ribbons on each table. How many tables does he have?

1. Teacher took up the discussion on previous days homework.  2. Teacher made the learners listen to a video.

4. Teacher put the Central Idea on the board and  asked the learners to write the questions that comes to their mind.

Learners practised long division and clarified their doubts.

Unit of Inquiry: Put your washed wet clothes outside on a washing line or a clothe rack instead of using a washing machine. Observe which natural resources are used to dry the clothes and make a note in your scrap book.

Tuning in of unit ‘Sharing the Planet’ was done today. Learners had gone for a nature walk and observed the surroundings. Discussion of the same was held in the class.

Language Development: Learners revised all the grammar concepts through Language with Ease reference book.

Maths:

Learners practised long division and clarified their doubts.

Formative  Assessment was taken.

Homework:

Unit of Inquiry: Find out different natural resources.(*Don’t search on the internet. You have to brainstorm. Can ask parents)
