Grandparents involvement for story telling.

Grandparents involvement for story telling.

Dear Parents,

Thank you for the overwhelming response for the parental involvement! We are glad to see ample entries for story telling. The name story is synonyms with our lovely grandparents, they are the first ones to come to our mind. Hence it is time to invite our most loving grandma and grandpa. Nana and Nani whatever we call them, our grandparents mean the world to us. Even their nicknames conjure feelings of love and warmth.

So here we goooooo,

Dear grandparents you are cordially invited to our school on 22nd February, Friday . You need to tell  any story in any language preferably in your mother tongue. The story should contain a moral message, reflect culture or can be an autobiography of great leaders too. You have to use any medium to convey a story for example puppets, flash cards, books for effective communication. It would be great if you can get any artifact to show the students. If you have something interesting to share with students & think it is valuable you are most welcome. Please note video showing is prohibited. Each grandparent will get 15 mins to speak so kindly prepare accordingly.

We look forward for bulk entries hence register your name with your child”s respective HRT through a DD as soon as possible. The last date for confirmation is 18th Feb.

The Africans have a proverb, when an old person dies, a library burns. “Our libraries” – our memories, stories, and knowledge – can be passed on from one generation to the next. Take this as an opportunity to bond with your little ones & be there!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Dear Parents ,

Do you remember what it felt like to squelch mud through your toes? Do you remember standing on the edge of the mud pit, looking in with hesitation, repulsion, wonder and awe.

Mud is amazing, how it can conjure up such polarizing feelings, how this simple substance can make us feel disgusted and revolted at the same time so joyous, inspired and alive. Amazing! This grubby, gooey, sticky substance always seemed to have magical powers on kids. In its presence, so much is possible.  Simply standing in it fires imagination! One become inspired.

So, here we are very excited to share the upcoming event-

The magic of dirt- MUD PLAY. Therefore, send

  1. a pair of old clothes
  2. set of undergarments
  3. towel
  4. floaters along with kids by tomorrow in a POLY BAG.

Regards,

Jr KG Team.
