University Fair @ 3rd Dec, 2018

Dear Parents,

We have arranged a University Fair for the students of Grade 10, 11 and 12 where 16 universities from India, USA, UK, and Canada are participating. At this fair, there will be representatives from the Universities and colleges coming to our school. The aim is to give interested students an opportunity to interact with the University representatives directly.

The fair is also open for the parents of Grade 7-9 as well considering that the students might not be clear about what to pursue and from where but parents will have some idea about it. This interaction will help you in understanding the requirements of the universities in general.

Please note that meeting the university representative does not mean that your child is bound to take admission to these universities. The purpose of the same is to get immediate personalized responses to your questions, finding out more about the programs and funding opportunities, and getting an idea of the application process – all reasons to attend in person, rather than just stick to online research. Attending a university fair is also an opportunity to get a better idea of what university admissions officers are looking for. Admission officers share what they look for when assessing applications, what common mistakes to avoid, and how to go the extra mile to make yourself stand out among others applying for the same seat in the university!

There will be stalls for these universities where you can meet the representatives and can ask specific questions related to the courses that the university is offering or any other detail about the university. We are expecting one representative per university from these institutions.

You may want to browse the websites of these universities beforehand and prepare questions accordingly. The representatives will be handing out information material/handouts about the courses and the benefits of studying in their universities. Surely, it will be an informative and valuable session.

Parents of students who are really interested in sending their child(ren) to these universities for further education or if they just want to meet university representatives to get some information are invited (strongly recommended) to attend the fair with prior information (send an email at

We advise delegates to read the rules of procedure before coming:

The dress code is STRICTLY WESTERN FORMAL on both days of the conference. NO DENIM/JEANS or T-SHIRTS ARE PERMITTED. Those that wish to wear dresses or skirts, please note that the length of the skirt/dress should not be shorter than one hand horizontally above the knee. Similarly, the neckline of shirts should not be too low. It is recommended that all delegates wear blazers.

This dress code does not apply for Socials, where delegates will be given time change.

Please note, those with their PTC on the dates of the conference will be allowed to go and attend their meetings as long as they return to the committee as soon as the meeting is over.

We will also be offering Roseograms on Dec 1st, and if delegates wish to send roses, they may carry along money.

Delegates will be allowed to use electronics during the conference however during committee sessions, they will not be permitted to access the internet. If they are found doing so, they will not be permitted to use their devices in any further committee sessions.

Dear Parents,

It’s time for the day filled with fervor and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers.

Sports day at FS has always been a hugely competitive but fun event, as the four Houses battle it out for the House trophy.

Considering the feedback received by students and parents, this year we have decided to change the format of sports day where the students will have fun activities and will compete across sections of their respective grades during the sports day.

While the students demonstrate their competitive games talent against the opponents from other teams, we also encourage the best athletic skill in each student. There will be an athletic event, where interested athletes can strive to achieve their goals. During the annual Athletic meet, students across Grade 5 to Grade 12  will get an opportunity to showcase their strength and ability in various athletics. The students who have qualified as finalists will compete for their place.

This change has been brought so that we can ensure maximum participation during the sports day. It is mandatory for all students to attend Sports Day.

The dates for the Sports Day are changed and the new schedule is as follows:

Grade 7 & 8:    12th December 2018 from 8:30 onward

Grade 9 to 12: 11th December 2018 from 8:30 onward

PTC Slot Booking Details- 1st December 2018

Dear Parent.

The PTC for the Senior School students is scheduled on 1st December 2018. During the PTC, respective subject teachers, as well as the mentor teachers, will meet the parents to discuss students’ academic progress, examination performance, academic or behavioral goals.

5 minutes slot will be opened by each subject teacher. Meeting time will be 5 mins only. Please note that you should not be spending more than 5 minutes with the subject teachers. Kindly do not exceed the timing allotted to you. Also, note that it is compulsory for all students to attend the meeting. Please go through the reports before you come to the meeting. For online exam papers, you can view the papers through students id/password. Ask your ward to show you the online paper by logging in to goformative account. The exam papers will be given on the same day.

In case your child has siblings in Middle Years or Diploma Program, make sure you refer to both grade & section link (calendar) so that you can book back to back slots.

You are requested to book the slot of 5 minutes for each subject teacher you wish to meet during the PTC or if you have received mail from subject teacher to meet.

If you want a slot of your preference then please book it at the earliest.

Please plan the slot booking so that you spend minimum waiting time in school and please consider transition time also while you move from meeting with one teacher to the other.

P.S- For parents who come for PTC without booking a slot with the respective teacher that they want to meet- they will have to first book the slot by giving details to the admin person seated outside the Grade Wing on the day of PTC. Slots will be given as per the availability in the teacher’s calendar on the same day. This means that if you come to school without booking slots you may not be able to meet the teacher.

Please take a note of below important points for smooth and effective PTC:

  1. Parents are required to book through parent mail id only. Any slots booked through personal id will not be taken into consideration.

  2. Please keep in mind the transition time (time taken to move from the meeting from one teacher to the next).

  3. Students who have participated in FSMUN, their parents will have to book the slots as per their schedule so that students can step out from the committee meeting to meet the teachers if required or else parents can meet the teachers without the student.

  4. Parents have to meet the teachers as per the slots assigned and should not exceed the time. Teachers will not meet the parents in any slot, other than the booked slot.

  5. Teachers will discuss student performance, concerns and further steps to improve academic performance with the parents. Please do not expect the teachers to discuss the whole paper with the parents,

Important Points Regarding School Transport

Important Points Regarding School Transport

Dear Parents,

Kindly refer to the following important points regarding school transport:

  • It is mandatory to show your RFID Parent Pass at the time of pick up from the bus stop.
  • If the card is found to be duplicate a fine of Rs. 500/- will be deducted from the student imprest deposit.
  • Having a duplicate RFID card will also be considered as not having a card.
  • 26th November onwards, student will not be handed over to any parent who comes to collect their child without their RFID card. The child will be brought back to school, and the parents will have to collect their child from the school, in such a case.
  • Under an online system, issues like: student not fastening seat belt, discipline issue or any breach of transport policy will be recorded by the transport staff.  Parents will be informed and necessary action will be taken. Such actions will help ensure safety of students in the bus.
  • In case if a parent parks their vehicle at the stop in such a way that it obstructs the bus parking space, the transport staff of that bus will take a call and the bus might stop few meters away from the actual stop keeping in mind vehicles parked by the parents.
  • Parents cannot board the bus under any circumstances unless a special permission has been taken from school. Parents can report a query or concern directly to school.
  • Water bottles, lunch boxes or any other belongings left in the bus will be collected by the bus staff and will be deposited in the schools’ Lost and Found area. Parent/Student need to check for misplaced belongings in there. The transport staff will not be responsible for this. The belongings deposited in the Lost and Found area will be kept for 2 weeks, after which  they will be donated.
  • From 1st December onward, a response card will be given to the bus staff which can be used by the parents in case of any other concern or issue. The response card will contain the contact details in the form of email id of admin staff / department.

IIMUN Championship Conference 2019

Dear Parents,


Fountainhead School is proud to have been invited to participate in the prestigious IIMUN Championship Conference 2019 being held at World Trade Center Mumbai, the conference is scheduled from 24th to 27th of January’ 19


India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) is a movement to implement IIMUN Actionable Goals while bearing cognizance of the Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the United Nations. IIMUN aims to galvanize the youth to start taking an initiative in combating problems on an individual level, thereby moving from a mundane classroom discussion and bringing tangible change in an honest attempt to making this a borderless world. In 1947, when the world was asleep, India carried its first revolution and rose to freedom.

IIMUN has been the World’s largest education conference management brand having organized the World’s Largest MUN simulation in Mumbai amongst many other conferences. It also became the first organization to conduct multiple MUN conferences inside United Nations Headquarters in New York. IIMUN today touches upon more than 10 million young people in 160 cities and 22 countries annually.

Below are the details of the respective event:

  • Date: 24th to 27th of January’ 19
  • Venue: World Trade Center Mumbai.
  • Approximate cost: Rs. 17000 – 17150/-

The above-mentioned cost includes:

  • Conference fees: Rs. 5000 per student
  • Accommodation and Food at the venue during the event: Rs. 10000 per student
  • 3 nights & 4 days accommodation on triple occupancy basis for students & double occupancy for teachers at 3-star hotel.
  • Meals include Lunch from 24th January 2019 to Lunch on 27th January 2019 i.e 3 breakfast, 4 lunches, 3 dinners and 4 evening high teas.
  • Transport to and fro Mumbai Railway Station & the hotel.
  • Entry to all 15 socials as per the itinerary
  • Travel expense: Approx. Rs. 1235/- [Train fares are a subject to change as it adds up other charges (taxes) after the payment is done.]
  • Miscellaneous charges (Includes Chaperone’s cost, food cost when it is not provided by the organisers & any other emergency expenses, which if not used shall be deposited back into Imprest A/c)


Further itinerary and committee allocation details will be share later once we have the registrations.

Please note:


  • The above-mentioned cost has been considered for a minimum of 12 students, if we receive less than 12 student participants, the respective program might be cancelled or the cost might increase depending on the number of participants.



  • Final date to fill the form will be 30th November 2018. Please note once the form is filled we will commence with train ticket booking to get the best possible train, post which if you cancel, cancellation charges will be applicable.




  • Cheque of Rs. 17000/- needs to be submitted by 10th December 2018. The cheque must be in favour of “Fountainhead Education Trust”

Dear Raconteurs,

By tomorrow most of you will have received your copy of the school magazine- Raconteur. Happily! Anxiously! Excitedly, we present to you the first edition and hope you will love it too!

Expressing gratitude from the bottom of our hearts we genuinely applaud and appreciate all the effort put in by you for making Raconteur beautiful!

For this issue of Raconteur we received a record number of entries and our joys knew no bounds, but here comes the glitch…. The number of pages in the magazine are limited and we couldn’t fit all the articles at once but at the same time we didn’t want to let your diligence go in vain. So… We decided that we will use remaining articles in the next edition of Raconteur i.e. the April issue of the magazine.

In case you do not find your contribution in this issue you might have to wait a little longer! Thank you for your love, patience and support!
