UOI 1 : Celebrations

  • Transdisciplinary theme: How we express ourselves

Central idea: Celebrations and traditions are expressions of shared beliefs and values.  

  • Show and tell activity for personal celebrations.

 

UOI 2 : Games

  • Transdisciplinary theme: Who we are

Central idea: Games can enhance our understanding about us

  • P.E. integrated slots for various games (Langdi, Throw ball, Rugby)
  • Students were divided into 4 groups and were asked to make a tallest tower using wooden blocks in the designated time.

 

Math:

  • Introduction of number names from 71 to 80.
  • Revision of skip count by 5 through a game
  • Revision of addition through various strategies
  • Revision of skip count by 5 through the workbook
  • Formative assessment through learning centers :
  • Skip count by 2 and 10
  • Reading and writing days of the week
  • Reading  months of the year

Language:   

  • Revision of taught digraphs and blends (identification of digraphs, blending and segmenting of digraph words)
  • Revision of tricky words
  • Dictation of digraph and tricky words
  • Introduction of tricky words ( there, they, go, so, no,my)
  • Choral reading from Jolly phonics readers.

 

Homework:

  1. Tricky words worksheet
  2. Copy writing of the given phrases in the notebook once

Guidelines for writing phrases :

Proper spacing between the words and correct formation of letters.

Math: Writing of number names 61 to 70 once in the notebook

CONNECT SESSION – 13th February 2019

Dear Parents,

We have organised CONNECT Session on Wednesday, 13th February 2019.

Timings – 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Venue – Y-Box

The school leadership team will be leading a short presentation on “New initiatives and things to look forward to at FS “. This will be followed by Question and Answer Session.

Please note:

  • Kindly be seated 10 minutes before the start of the session in Y Box.
  • This is not a platform to raise any child-specific issues or any other issues.
  • CARPOOLING is highly appreciated & recommended since we have limited parking space.

Dear Parents,

My child is addicted to chocolates and chips….

My child doesnt eat if there is no screen in front of her…

My child doesnt eat vegetables…

How often do we worry about what our kids are eating?  And how often do we receive answers that we can trust?

Let me put this into context. How many of you would jump out of your seats if I tell you that we are fortunate to have a guest speaker who is amongst the most qualified and sought after nutritionist expert in the country!

Rujuta Diwekar is all set to meet all of us in a special session organized exclusively for the Fountainhead parent community  and share great insights on “Notes for Healthy Kids”with us.

So join us for a knowledgeable, informative and entertaining session.
