Musical is in the air

Musical is in the air

Dear parents,

Here I am to let you peep inside the Performing Arts class.

There is lot of enthusiasm in Grade 7 these days as they have started with the most awaited “Musical production” unit of performing arts. As explained in the first PTM the unit is a combination of Music and Drama subjects. Most of the Grade 7 sections have finished with their script reading lessons where they were also exposed to the  sung dialogues and and the drama songs.

The script of the Drama has been downloaded from one of the official paid on line sites. The  PDF file of the same script has been uploaded on the common resource folder for Grade 7 students and parents. I request parents and students not to take a print out of the script as from the author , we do not have the permission for the same.

After script reading students will have their auditions for the different Drama character roles. Every student is expected to prepare for minimum 2 different characters. Students will be asked to perform 2 dialogues for each character. I request parents to help and motivate their child to memorize the dialogues. After deciding upon the roles in the production, I will post the section wise final list on the blog. Till then stay tuned with our blog.

Have a nice day.
